Marineland HOB Filters (350 vs Emperor 400)

I have a 46 bowfront, also, and I use the 400 and an AC 70 for filtration. The 400 works great, and is enuf to keep the tank sparkling clean by itself. That said, all of my tanks except the 10 gal have 2 filters. I use ACs on the others just because I feel they are easier to clean. Good luck !!

yeah, sometimes i have to add 5 or 6 cups of water to the filter before it will 'catch'. if it decides it's not ready, the added water just backflows down the intake tube.
