long horned beetles are almost exclusively boring beetles
in short... it can turn a sick tree into a dead tree
unless its one of the several Asian long horned beetles that carry nasty fungi with them... they can turn a healthy tree into a dead tree.
so many consider them pests... but its probably one of your native species that deserves to exist anyway... besides look how its eyes wrap around so it doesn't have a blind spot from the antennae!
Those are probably the coolest eyes I've seen on an insect yet!
