They will learn to hide if they are harassed enough by the Bichir just make sure they have retreats..
Max Tang stocking frustration

Looking good. I like the rockwork, the separations should help to limit some of the more territorial fish ( Brichardi ) to one side. I hope you managed to get 2 female Brichardi. They are neat fish but are way too prolific for my taste, and become far too territorial. My 3 leftover juvies I couldn't catch range from 1" and smaller and are making life tough on the new Transcripus I added. They travel all the way from their usual hangout just to pester the new-comers.

I really need a camera that will let me take a good macro photo. Still, here's some lousy shots of the new Tang stock. The tank has so much more movement and action now. The dwarf petricolas stay out of site for the most part. I hope they will eventually feel more secure and come out to be seen because they are incredibly attractive specimens.
The real question.... did the senegalus bichir eat any of the new Tang stock?

I finally had enough of him swiping at the petricolas and did what had to be done. I always knew this was the best answer, but it took the 'leap' to get the job done. Its a brand new 36 gallon Aqueon bowfront :lipssealedsmilie:We're now going to take him to the tank at my wife's office so he can have a full 55 gallons for an "oddball" tank. The best part is that the Tang biotope is now legit; only Tang species :headbang2:

i cant wait to go to daves again. im going next week and right now im probly going to be spending at least $100. told you that they had good fish.
I'd add at least 4 more petricola; the larger the group the more active/visible they'll be. I'd do shellies and Julies in the new bowfront.
