Not really, you can get this after it has had white spot, the flakes will go away within 5 days, kee p an eye on it, if it get much worse then speak to someone at your LFS or post a pic.

It looks like grains of salt and quite alot but i have other platy and they dont seem to have it and they came from the same tank i dont know if this will help but i fink it might be pregant
If it looks like grains of salt its most likely ICH. Not all fish will display Ich at the same time.

ryt thanx i am treating my tank for fin rot the now so can i treat it for white spot at the same time
Can you get another closer pic? My platie has some spots once but it wasent ick, so you have to be careful.
