It came in the mail yesterday, so I do not know if it is seasonal or not, but would imagine the stress from the trip is a lot of the reason it's falling apart. As of this morning, no more needles flying around, and the pantyhose on the intake filter is pretty well covered in it, so it did a good job in capturing all the little floaties.
Tank is looking pretty clear now.
And the lighting over the tank is not anywhere near sufficient. I need to at least go get a better bulb for this strip light fixture, and I may need to get another fixture as well, but we'll see. I want to stick with low-light, but even then, I'm not sure that one 4 foot light will be sufficient for a 75 gal tank??
