first i need to fix a tank i picked up the bottom is broke in it but it is a 30 gal tall 2ftx2ftx1ft I'm looking at getting a pair or maybe a male and a few females. there are 2 different species i am looking at that i can get pairs of Pseudotropheus Socolofi - powder blue
Pseudotropheus Lombardoi - Kenyi
i will be integrating several caves and hiding places for them
 
those fish are harem breeders and for breeding, or to keep several specimens, should be kept in ratios of 1 male to 3 or 4 females. you will want a plan to deal with fry, all going well in such a set up.

a 30 is not bigh enugh for them; they are some of the most agrressive cichlids you will ever encounter and may kill each other in that tank. they will not have sufficient room to avoid each other in that tank. keeping 1 male and 1 female will result in you being left with 1 fish, male.

you can't get any breeding pairs of socolofi, but maybe yellow labs?
 
yellow labs are beautiful fish. You could also do a breeding colony of Brichardi, which seem relatively easy to find. They are very cool fish, and definitely swim all over the tank.
 
yellow labs are also harem breeders - 1 male, 3 females. you could try them but again the tank is not really big enough
 
You could also redirect your stocking thoughts. Some dwarf South Americans would work in a 30g. A couple of rams and a couple apistos. A 55g would be minimum for a breeding group of Mbuna. A small group of tanganyikan or shell dwellers would also work if you want an African tank.
 
I would definitely reccomend the shell dwellers for your tank...you could have a calvus with them
