2011 Vacation Pond

So turns out my goldfish pond crashed on me in the fall and all of my goldfish died sucks aye, but the good thing is that i cleaned it out this spring and will be a African Pond and the above ground pond will be a Central American pond..

Here is the deal the above ground pond is currently stocked with CA Mostly Cutteri and Firemouths i also threw in 5 Jaguar Juvies two days ago the water temp is at 75 degree.

My in ground pond was cleaned and void of all plants i also threw in some rock piles, right now i have Buffaloheads in there and will have some Mbuna poss Yellow labs and a few other Mbuna here soon this pond is close to 800gals.. The gunky pond photos is what this looked like til i cleaned it..

The ponds are looking great. Good luck with your pond plans!

That's awesome! No problems from thieving critters?

Na no problems from raccoons or others i did have a snake one time that hung around the in ground pond but i haven't seen it in a few years..

Are the cinder blocks connected together somehow on the above ground pond, or are they just sitting on one another? I am thinking about doing something like this when I move into the new house.

jdw the cinder blocks are just stacked on each other i did not use anything to attach these the good thing about this pond is that its totally removable..

On a sad note i lost quite a few fish we had a cold snap for a week in the lower 50's so now i will have to rebound i just hope my buffaloheads made it i haven't seen any floating bodies in there so i am keeping my fingers crossed we will be back into the 80 and 90's in a couple of days..
