Im pretty sure the overflow is doing its job.

Anyways, It's been a week since I've gotten a CUC, and all seems to be running smoothly. Water parameters are still fantastic. I still haven't decided on what I should get for my first fish. The LFS has Bubble Tip Anemones/w asorted varied of Clowns that are hosted. Anywhere from Tomato Clowns, Skunks, even Black Perculas.
So if anyone has a suggestion feel free. I'll Post some pics tomorrow.

Hey all.

Well I went by the LFS yesturday and walked out with an armful!.
For my first fish I got a healthy looking Royal Gramma. I figured they are somewhat of a hard fish and they are pretty as well. Also I got an amazing coral deal. I got a small double branch of Frog Spawn and a nice branch of bright neon green Zoos. There seems to be a lot on the piece, but not all of them are open. Anyways I took a few pictures, so enjoy!

Another thing you might want to try is placing the heater in one of the back compartments. I was able to get my 100w heater in the 2nd compartment (I have 4 on the aquapod) of my 12G tank. Really cleared up the look in the tank.

The Problem is that my Heater is too long for the back compartments. Also that I think it was for a 50+Gal tank, it gets way too hot. If I put the setting for 74 Degrees, My Tank will end up being 88+ Degress. In the Overflow compartment I have a Filter and barely managed to get my BioCube fit Protein Skimmer in there. Theres no way to put it in the eco filter area. The only place thats left is the Pump compartment but it would only be half submerged. Maybe I should just try that and see if it does the trick.

I am battling a similar thing right now and keep "tweaking" the temp on my heater to get a balance (after 2 days JUST about there). Most heaters are not good if they are only half exposed and you could wind up killing the heater, maybe grab a smaller heater ?. a 25w may be a better option for you in FL. Here in PA the room temp is a bit cooler.
