Hi everyone. I am trying to order any of the following needle valves from AquaCave. They told me any of the valves has a 1/8" thread and I have to measure thread on my regulator.

Please anyone help how do i measure my regulator's thread. I am sorry that i absolutely don't know anything about these stuffs.

the 1/8" refers to the 1/8" NPT (National Pipe Thread) standard. It's not actually 1/8" in diameter but has a nominal diameter of 0.405".

Most regulators have a 1/4" NPT threads on them. If you are using the regulator without a solenoid, you will either have to find a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter or a needle valve with 1/4" threads.

OMG! Very sorry for that ZZYZX85 - I opened two windows at the same time. Thanks ZZYZX85!

NPT threads are typically measured with a circle gauge.
Is that a pic of the regulator you own or a similar one?
The thread size behind that red valve is 1/4" NPT according to the supporting documentation you provided in a previous post.

Hey FTM, that one is exactly the one in my previous post. I could not find the right needle valve so far and when I look at what those from AquaCave, they seem to me that those are what I need but based one the size you mentioned above, those are not the right ones. I emailed Rex and he told me he has all the stuffs to make the regulator work - Fabco and adapter. Will redirect my order.

Thanks FTM for your kind help!

Thanks a lot FTM! I did not know I need all the extra stuffs. I would have been wrong if I had made my order.
