Anyone figure out how to use Seachem Purigen in cannister filters and prevent bypass beacuse of the small bags that Purigen comes in?

Seachem sells "The Bag" that is 180microns, but even that is only 5X10.

Are there larger media bags available, that would hold Purigen without it falling through?

thanks,

i use 250 micron bags with no prob, but still have to "stir" the purigen weekly or only the stuff on the bottom of the bag soaks anything up.

just use multiple purigen pouches, so that the water has to flow over at least one of them. :) Seriously, that's what I do. I have four or more in each of my two XP3's and they take forever before they need regeneration. I know it costs a bit more, but it's a better solution than spreading one pouch thinner, IMO.

thanks,

I did order both a 3pack with idea of using multiple bags, and also large 250micron bags to see which might work better. glad to know the 250s are good enough.

multiple bags OK but my preference is to load one bag.
