has anyone had success with the maracyn plus 'antibacteria' for curing eye fungus/cloudy eye/popped eyes? i was at meijer looking for medications for my angelfish and there were like 3 different kinds that all said they were for popeye and body fungus, and they all had different active ingredients. i had no idea which was best so i got this one because it seemed like you got more for the price. any experiences?

First, you need to find out why your angelfish has popeye, usually it's caused by poor water conditions or possible indetectable toxins in the water...

I've had limited success with Kanacyn, which isn't in use any long.. but, if you can find anything labeled Kanamycin sulfate, it's the same thing. The ram we had that had popeye improved with extremely clean water conditions with the medicine. I believe you can use maracyn 2 or furan 2.

it isn't water conditions because i have tested my water and i regularly do biweekly changes. i suspect it is due to a combination of stress (i have been doing a lot of tank rearranging and cleaning b/c i am trying to grow plants) and possibly some kind of bacteria or parasite brought in on the plants. who knows though? he also isn't eating well. i guess i will just try this and see what happens.
