New VT male I adopted off Craigslist. She gave me some baby guppies too, but they're far too tiny to take photos of! Sorry for the camera phone quality! He's in a QT bowl for a couple of days before I put him into my community tank(platies and guppies.)

He's a fairly big boy and eats extremely well. Previous owner just didnt have time or room for him.

Very nice! What do they call that marking - butterfly? Striking. Is that some purple iridescence?

Havent the foggiest. Its similar to butterfly in HM's, but I'm not sure if that applies to VT's. And yep! He's got a shear body, purple at the base of his tail, and the rest is maroon.

Rhiannon means "Great Queen". Not an ideal name for a male, alas. If you want something appropriate from the same mythology, try "Pryderi" or "Manawyddan"

Rhiannon is my daughter's middle name. I didn't make it her first because most buggers in England wouldn't pronounce it right.
