Meet the new inhabitants!

There is actually hiding from the gsps. The 30 is cycled... it went through a mini cycle a while back, but it has been stable for a while. Since the puffers are in the tank, im thinking of doing w/c every 2-3 days just to keep levels down until everyone gets to move into the big nice tank. and my bbgs nor have any ghost shrimp been eaten. my dragon doesn take any of their antics and will get them back if they try and nip him.

If a fish has to hide from its tankmate so it won't be eaten then they're NOT compatible. Besides, they have to come out to eat sometime. What makes you think the BBG's can evade a puffer?

the bbgs have been fine with the puffers... they swim everywhere the puffers dont bother them... and my dragon didnt come out of his hiding spot before anyways... and when he does... still... the puffers dont bother him.

Plus I am in the works of getting a 50 gallon for the puffers. I should be picking it up soon... and they will go in it probably in a week ro two

Agreed!

Keeping your GSPs well fed so they don't bother other fish is not a solution. They are predators, they like the hunt as much as the kill, and they have somewhat insatiable appetites.

Are the GSPs going to be in with the BBGs and shrimp? They will all eventually become a light snack for the GSPs. BBGs would do great in a 10-15 gallon by themselves and you'll see a lot more activity from them, plus they will live. Same goes for the shrimp.

actually no, phoenixn you can keep your bbg's with your gsp's in that 125 as well as the dragon fish. if your puffer's aren't chasing or nipping at any of their tank mates they can adapted to having fish in the tank with them. and to omplmpa3 i know that everyone thinks gsp's are very aggressive (which they are very aggresive dont get me wrong) but i have completely got my gsp off of live food besides ghost shrimp, occasionally crickets, and snails. basically i have trained him to resent live food. i have had my 35 gall for about 4-5 months now, and i have 6 bbg's in with him along with other tank mates. he never chases them or anything not even acknowledges them when he swims past. since they arent really bother anybody i the tank this is a great starting point tokeep feeding them good frozen meaty foods for a couple of months, they eventually can learn to have tank mates and not to bother them at all. i feed mine blood worms, brine shrimp, mussel, prawn, shrimp, chopped clams, squid, live ghost shrimp, live snails, and occasionally live crickets. he has a very well balanced diet. so if you keep feeding them like they are kings the have no reason to act out:).and anybody feel free to disagree, but i know whats going on with pickles

I really should not go to fish stores at all >.< I picked up some more fish for the big tank....
Meet Rico and Skipper.
Rico is the bigger one... I just couldnt resist... they were giving me kisses at the glass.. >.<
No more fish for me for a while.
I'm going to stop buying fish for the next lil while until I get everyone settled in the big tank... still havent found lyrtail mollies. Oh, and I bought a Zebra Nerite >.< The other one died in the bag >.<
They are purely going to be food for Rico and Skipper

lol, ya i know what you mean. im on the same page when im there its not going to be as long as planned. but they look very happy and healthy, and dont let all of that talk get in the way they wil be fine with the other tankmates if your patient :)

Awe thanks for standing up for me S.C. I knew there was proof that GSPs arent all big meanies, just little hummingburd helicopters in water lol. I have kept mine really fed with blood worms and snails... where do you get squid?
That diet sound really good!

haha.your welcome, i have been getting in arguments all over the internet about gsp's(haha), but because of my chameleons i have had a lot of crickets around lately and so just today i watched him eat his first cricket in a few months it took him awhile to go for it but he eventually did and i wish i could have recorded it because it was that epic of a moment.:) anywho, i get my squid and all that good stuff from my local store i just wash it really good "just in case". and it is way cheap. sometimes cause they know me there they give me free squid and other raw food. you pay way less than for some already packaged frozen food.
