No. If you are going to start fiddling around with your water chemistry, you will need to know your GH and KH as well as your pH.

I agree with that point, but disagree on the pH. Your discus might be fine in pH 8.0, but it depends on your GH. At simplydiscus.com some folks have had no problems at pH that high. Of course it would be nice to have it well below 8.

If you plan on lowering the ph and gh by adding ro water, do it gradually over a period of weeks. You also may want to move the keyhole to a different tank.

What are your water changes and water temperature?

I agree on the high PH. My Discus are kept in 7.8 PH. Check out SimplyDiscus.com and review the posts in the "water" section- it will answer your questions about the PH.
