Mega-Powerful Nitrate and Phosphate Remover Replaces Skimmer, Refugium, part 1-4

Well, I am making them now, per order.

No internal temps... the lighting units themselves (which are aluminum) get a little warm to the touch, but the acrylic does not, and the inside does not. And if you leave the lid off, it will cool the water (especially if you put a fan on it.)

If the flow stops on the screen, the only problem is the algae on the screen starts dying. If the lighs are on the whole time that the flow is stopped, the algae has from 2 to 6 hours to live, depending on how thick it is when the flow stops. If the lights go off when the pump goes off, the algae can go 4 to 24 hours before dying.

did you do any test results that you can show and a week to week tank pics to see how this works

That is one sweet looking scrubber. I want one now. :) Better be careful though, may be jumping the gun by just a couple months if you try and sell these commercially. I believe there is a patent on scrubbers that expires in October, once that happens I bet you will see a ton of them come onto the market.

Wow, haven't read those comments since it was first posted, seems you have made a name for yourself SantaMonica. LOL.

Adey’s Algae Turf Scrubber patent will expire this year

Hmmm.... okay. I have one Coralife aqualight 24" dual T5 fixture already, I think i will just order another one and use them for the time being. I'll PM you again when I'm ready to pull the trigger on this(should be in a week or two).
