Why can't this companies wait 2 fricken weeks then lay people off instead of ruining everyones Xmas?
Read in the paper where some dude got fired early Dec., went to the Xmas party and shot and killed the CEO. If I were on that jury I'd acquit him as a justifiable murder.

Man that sucks, sorry to hear that.
We are a small company and experiencing layoffs as well. My boss talks to me every week and says well we have work for you for another week. Soon I will be out of a job as well
I am in a specialized field and in a small town its hard to find work, also who needs a drafter when they can't afford to build a house anyway.

I understand what you mean. My husband just lost his job too but he has had 5 jobs in the last 10 months. I am sorry to hear about your lose. It sucks that it has to happen around this time.
Sorry to hear that Zig. Unfortunately a lot of people are in the same position right now with this economy the way it is. My wife is in the same boat. Good luck finding something new.
Sorry to hear that zig. I have put in applications at every place imaginable, and am now "circling the block" again and have not gotten one phone call since April. Good thing Im looking for a job for side money and not to support my family, but still it shows how much the economy sux, and qualifications have nothing to do with it.
