Does anyone here use metal halides for your planted tank? I am setting up a 125g and will be using halides. I was wondering about watage to water volume ratios. Is the ratio more or less the same as CFs?
Use 5500K for bulbs, as this will provide the most useable light to the plants. As for the wattage, it depends on how much higher you mount the halides(compared to the CF) from the water. I just found this site today, thats where the ino above came from.
