After some great thought and much trepidation I decided to try some live plants. Keep in mind that anything new is very difficult for me to learn (to put it mildly). Strokes have a wonderful way of making well-educated persons turn into a 10-12 year old mentality. That being said, I decided to try a few low light plants.
Logic dictated to me that no one would sell bad products on forums such as this one for fear of bad reviews. So I reached out to Mgamer and ordered the 10 pack special. It arrived in CT all the way from So Cal in 2-3 days. I didn't much care for the selections our LFS had, so I figured why not? Surely it won't be any worse that what they offer here!
When the package arrived, I opened it like a kid on Christmas morning. When I saw what was sent I was disappointed. (Of course I really have no idea what I expected). Then came the fun part:
As I separated the bags I did a quick mental organization of what plants would go in which tanks. One by one I emptied the bags. One by one the plants went to their new homes. As I neared the end of the plants I began to panic thinking I had more plants than I had room! Eventually I got them all sorted out. It was like a plant bloom had taken over my tanks and stuck themselves in there! I am glad it was ONLY 10, LOL!
Now I hope I have enough light and good enough water for them to propagate.
This turned into a great deal for me! Next time I decide to get some plants, guess where I am getting them from? a 2-3 day wait is worth the quality, quantity and speedy service! It takes my LFS's a week to get me an order).
