Can anybody help me with this......I just bought a Emperor 400 power filter for my 55 gal. african ciclid tank. It seems to keep the water very clear. But no matter what I try I cant stop these little micro bubbles from coming back in the tank. Nobody notices them but me. But it bugs the crap out of me. I have tried everything I can think of. At this point I wish I would of paid a little more and got one of those H.O.T. filters. Everybody seems to talk good about them. Them little bubbles are driving me crazy.

Can you stretch some nylon from panty hose over the discharge to help break them up?

Are you serious???????That sounds like a good idea....Do you mean like stockings? pantyhose? cut out the right size and rap around the filter?

yup, regular ol' pantyhose stockings. I've found more than one use for them in the fish tank :) They make a dandy bag for holding filter media in place, as well as to cover filter intakes/outflows.

by the way, this topic should have been posted in General FW (or another FW section below), as this section is specifically for Aquaria Central adminstrative issues ;)

So what I'm married and I wont't buy them or tampons for my wife, get a friend to do it for you.

yeah, don't let your woman force you into buying tampons. that's just... b*tchy. I would never make my boyfriend buy feminine hygiene products for me because it's embarassing, and personal (what if he buys the wrong absorbency, oh no!).

by the way Scott, folks on this forum do have a sense of humor. It just takes them a while to get warmed up to new members. If we start seeing you on other threads and get to know you, believe me, there are plenty of joking and ribbing. It's just we get so many trolls and annoying kids that everyone needs to go through a trial-by-fire, I guess, before we decide you're not trying to cause trouble.

see ya round the forums, hopefully! :)

p.s. I like your signature :D
