Today, I was harvesting from my Grindal worm culture, and I noticed a lot of smaller, tiny worms that look a lot like microworms. The small one were all similar size too. Could these be microworms, or just baby grindals?

I heard that microworms can survive in most soils, so I guess it wouldn't be impossible... o.O

Any thoughts?

They could be micro worms. It is hard to tell but if they are all teh same size there is a chance.

Microworms are not worms at all. They are nematodes. They grow on very rich substrates, in essence pure food substrates, and get to less than about 1 mm in length at full grown. Although they are very easy to culture, I have never heard of them taking up residence in another culture medium. When you have them in the tens of thousands, they look like this.

I know what they look like, I've had a microworm culture before. (mom threw it out when I went on a 3-day school trip)

I have seen a video that about some kind of wasp in africa, and it mentioned something about nematodes living inside the fruit that the wasps lay their eggs in, and I've also heard that its quite possible to be found in composts, so they probably have no problem living in a grindal culture.

I just have no idea if its possible that they can get into an indoor grindal culture.
