i have a 10 gallon
i'm looking for a small mid to bottom dwellers that's not a catfish
i already have 2 Comet Platies and 2 Swordtails
i'm not a fan of corydoras
and i have enough surface feeders
any suggestions?

How about a pair of Bolivian Rams?

A 10g is a little small for rams, i would have at least a 20g for them. Maybe some kind of shrimp?

I think a single Bolivian ram would work but those swordtails really should be in a larger tank. They will get big.

yeah
by the time they get to full length i'll probably have a bigger tank
i thought cichlids could only be with other cichlids

I would only do a single ram alone for a 10g, if I did one at all. Bumblebee gobies could work well, though most say you they need to be in low-end brackish water, even though they do breed in freshwater. You could probably convert your tank to brackish without too much difficulty, though, as most livebearers are tolerant of brackish and even saltwater for Poecillia species. They also require small live or frozen foods.
