so i got the milwakee reg and thngs have been great so far. I filled the 20lb bottle the other day, hooked it all up and CO2 flows. I followed the directions on the box and it said to try and keep the right gauge at around 10psi but isnt a sure fire way to monitor co2 release, the bubble counter is more effective. I have noticed that over the first couple of days i would have to keep on opening the valve a bit to maintain 10psi each day. The past 2 days things have been stable, but i am curious, have any of u had to do this? My bottle PSI is at 1000 right or cm'3 i dont remember offhand, at work, but i just gauge it by the one number system just to see if things were changing. Could this be a sign of gas loss? whats a good way to check?

10 PSI? You're using a needle valve right? I'm no expert, but I just setup my Sumo regulator and they said between 20-30 is the ideal pressure range. The basis was that gas production is affected by room temp and so maintaining a higher working pressure ensures that the needle valve has a more constant flow to work with, regardless of temp. I keep mine at 25psi and my bubbles have been 100% consistent.

Usually when I get a"NEW" CO2 tank I have to adjust for a day or three before it is settled.

Ur responses have been good as you all seem to have had the same experiences that i am having. I did up my psi to about 15ish and its been stable there. The directions did say 10psi, but i figured that a higher pressure wouldnt ruin it, especially if its only 20-30 more, i mean, its a higher pressure regulator.
Any suggestions for checking for leaks? Any of u use teflon, as this was also suggested in the directions for when u connect the reg to the cylinder?

Don't use teflon tape connecting the reg to the cylinder, use a washer at the connecting point instead.
Spray soapy water or windex on the connecting areas to find leaks, they'll cause bubbles if there's one.
