I bought a small clumps of Mini Pellia (?) from Malaysia (Jan 2007). Not sure of the scientific ID of this plant but I was told it belongs to the Monosolenium species. Please let me know if you know the true ID of this plant!

Unfortunately, 90% of the plant died during postage (1 week journey). But I tied the remaining 10% of fragments onto two pieces of stones in the hope that they will survive. Luckly they survived! However, they are so slow growing that, after nearly 5 months, they are finally large enough for me to take some photographs for this ‘mini’ article!

Seems so compact and dense, really very attractive. I wonder if you could make mini aquatic hedges with it given enough time and care. Could maybe make underwater hedge sculptures :)

That really is a beautiful plant. How much light, CO2, ferts, etc. does it require / are you using?

wow

The plant looks great, I hope it takes off more for you. What is the mesh you used to cover the rocks?

Your photography is fantastic, I'm inspired!

Thanks for the compliments!
I bought the moss net/mesh in Malaysia. I think it is some kind of nylon/cotton cloth that is streachable. Soft to the touch and very elastic. When streached, the holes of the net enlarge from about 1mm (unstreached) to about 3-5mm fully streached. Very useful for what it is sold for (tie down mosses).
I have not seen such product for sale in LFS in London.
