Minimum requirements for happy snail home?

Hi, my boss' kids might be "adopting" some of my pond and malaysian trumpet snails as pets (instead of me just killing them). So I was wondering about the minimum requirements to keep snails happy and healthy. They would probaby be kept in something like a goldfish bowl, so no filtration... From what I've read this seems Ok as long as there are frequent water changes, but would they need an airstone or something? Thanks guys!

water, food, water cleansing of some sort (be it water changes, filtration, etc.)

er....I would get one of those larger fish bowls (a spherical one) and use a small sponge filter; Those are really cheap and efficient; they also run with just a small airstone

As for food, they could give them small pieces of boiled vegetable or use specialty crab bites. I think they're made by hikari.

yes, i have a bunch of pond snails and ramshorn snails in a vase with java moss...i rarely do water changes (shame on me, but i didn't plan on snails being in there) and they are thriving. Perhaps you could consider sticking some moss in the bowl to help soak up extra nutrients and the microscopic food it provides as well as shelter.

yeah I was actually planning on sending a clump of my java moss along with the little guys

my trumpet snails seem to like the moss and plants a lot.
