I had 9 neons the other day, now I'm only able to locate about 2 of them at any given time, they used to school really tight, and i can only find about 2 (give or take). I know they havent died, or at least I havent removed them from the tank, I've never seem em floating. Is it possible they died and my gouramis devoured them? I also know they didn't jump out of the tank, my tank is the only thing up against this wall, on white carpet, i'd kind notice a dead fish anywhere near it. Any suggestions as to where these fish may have run off to would be appreciated

I think its possible the gouramis didn't wait for them to die  ...sorry

i'm not sure about that, because i've never even seen the gouramis acknowledge that the neons were in there, the gouramis would swim right through the school of them (when they schooled), and not even take notice of them

no way could they get through the thingy (i have no idea what its called) on the end of the fliter tube

If they are dying, the plec could take care of them pretty quick, too...any tank decorations they could get into?

i suppose its possible that they can get up into where the air stone is in my rock wall, but its not a big area, hardly enough for all of those missing tetras
