missing zebra danio

I'm glad he surfaced, hopefully he'll make it for you now!

They are tough little buggers, I had a 4 year-old danio jump the tank and spend 45 minutes or so on the floor (at least that long). The cat pointed him out to me and he was dried up and not moving. I threw him back in the water and he revived with some minor scale damage and fin splitting. He recovered completely and is still alive and approaching 5 years of age.
Wow, what a story!
These fish are known for being very hardy!

just last week one of mine went missing and I dont think my tetras ate him. couldn't find him anywhere!!! then last night I had a romeo and juliet thing happen! One died and then the other died. they were laying right next to eachother when I found them:( they were perfectly healthy too!

I had a similar experience with these fish - I bought 5 zebra danios about a month ago...2 days later, I woke up and noticed that I only had 4 danios left. I looked all over the tank and couldn't find the fish (dead or alive). About a week later, I woke up and was down to 2 danios...again, I searched everywhere - under rocks, in the plants, and in the filter, but found no sign of the missing fish. Later that same day, I looked in the tank and saw 3 danios swimming around, and a couple hours later there were 4. I have no idea where they were hiding.

Finally, while feeding my fish this morning, I was shocked to see all 5 danios eating happily. That 5th fish has been missing for close to a month, and I have no explanation for where it has been.
