Mixing RO water with tap, help?

so in an effort to have better water quality and growth for my planted tank i am thinking of mixing about 20% r/o water with tap.

do i need to get something like kents RO right before i add it? that doesnt seem right to me.
i would like to just experiment, but seeing as i have fish in there now, im feeling more cautious.

What are parameters of your tap water (pH, gH, kH)?

RO water is stripped of any minerals and have very low to no measurable gH and kH readings and a nuetral pH. Kent's RO Right adds those minerals back into the water. I'm assuming you're trying to lower one of those parameters by mixing RO to tapwater, in which case you don't need Kent's RO Right.
