Mixing tetra species?

I read that pictus cats shouldnt be kept with tetras, as they will eat fish as they get bigger. Dont know how reliable the source was but just thought id drop that one in.

I'm planning to have some Rummynose Tetras and Cardinal Tetras in a 55 and I have not run into any issues. My only limitation would be not to get more than 3 seperatye species or else the tank will look more lie a circus than a nice aquarium. And i would also make sure that they look different enough so they don't school together making 1 large shool, unless if that's what you're going for.

PS--Yes, get rid of pictus if you want small tetras.
