mmmmm... I think I've got Ick

temp is at ~85 heater wont go any higher. I'm doing 2 tsp per gallon of water and doing half the mixture every 12 hrs.

Sounds good, keep those gravel vacs going daily if you can. Ich spots will come and go but don't lose hope and don't stop treating until spots are gone for at LEAST a week!! :)

Is it the same with sand?

Yup, just don't bury the siphon like you would with gravel, skim it along the surface to let the spores/junk get sucked up without sucking up too much sand..

awesome. it has to wait till morning. The house is out of salt and i don't want to WC with out replacing it and mess up the concentration.

Probably a good idea, keep us updated!

PS: I just made the noobest of all mistakes. I transferred some excess moss from an ich tank to a clean tank.

My beautiful black moscows now have white spots. FML.

Oh noes....
well todays update is the SD still have spots but are swimming fairly normally, a little twitching here and there
less spots on the BP
and the sev is in trouble....he is very dark in color, has spots, has rubbed a good amount of scales off his side, enough that that spot of him doesn't darken like the rest of him. He has been very lethargic and only using one side fin. he's the one im worried about....

The best you can do is keep water parameters stable and let the ich go away. Once it does you can start treating the loss of scales.

Are there any rough/sharp objects in particular that you can remove to prevent him from scraping himself up too much more?

yeah there is one rock i think he's doing it on so i took it out already. He's Dans favorite so I hope he makes it :(

Are you able to get a nice picture of the sev right now so we can see his current state? Perhaps some other folks can comment on concurrent treatment for the wounds? I'm not sure if Melafix can be used right now..It's what I have used to work wonders including growing back a bitten off tail!
