that's very nice of you to show to us the beauty of your fish. keep it men, i pray that i'll some like that. thanks

OMG thank you King of the Deep. I think i am sold on the Severum. I am getting a 39 gallon long tank this wed. I was thinking of just getting one Severum and some catfish and a pleco to clean the bottom and algae (after cycling of course).

I like to run bare bottom tanks (with a VERY tiny handful of sand just for reflective purposes) and my Cory Cats clean the bottom pretty well.

SO in your opinion in the 39 Gallon Tank can I just get One Green Severum, 6 Albino Cory Cats, and later on one smaller sized 6" pleco to protect algae?

I have also read that Severums are peacful cichlids when kept in a peaceful tank. I also like the fact that they supposedly eat right off your hand and have tons of personality.

I read that Severums will attack fish that look like them (in color) and someone had Albino Cory's and he pretty much left them alone. Also I like to Understock my tanks because I like my fish to have as much room as possible. Let me know if that my stocking IDEA is OK, it will be a month before I figure it out anyway.

a severum needs at least a 50-55 gallon tank, they get pretty big, around 8-10 inches
pleco's, depending on which kind you get..can grow up to 12-18 inches

so for a severum, and a pleco, at least a 55gal with very good filtration

if im not mistaken the dementions for a 39 gal is 36 x 12 ½ x 17

you can keep a single green sev in there, i would only do 4 cories, and leave the pleco out, use a filter thats rated for a 75 gal and you should be good..and dont use alot of decoration..once it gets to the 8 inch mark..you should look for a bigger tank..takes them about 10 months to get to full grown size..
