Today I bought a small piece of Mobani bogwood purely on impulse as I thought it would look nice in my freshwater tank. I was told to soak it for 48 hours and keep changing the water which i am doing. Then reading up about it got me to thinking. I keep fish that prefer the water to be slightly alkaline. Will the addition of the mobani make it more acid? The wood is about 15 inches long and about 5 inches across. my tank is 45 gallons.
