I modified the hood for this new-to-me ten gallon tank to mount the filter at the end of the tank. I also cut out a piece of a plastic storage tub top to fill the open spot where the filter was mounted before. I think I’ll paint the clear plastic piece to better match the top but I will not paint the underside. A piece of weather stripping foam here and there to tighten the gaps and I can call it done.
