mollies and platies

Thats very sceptical, i have had both Mollies and Platys for the past six months and both have been very prolific in producing young and are great specimens.
As far as distinguishing the difference, Mollies generally come in silver, black, Dalmation (silver w/black spots) and orange (kind of an orange / white creamcicle color), but for the most part, that is about it.
Platies come in every color red, red w/black fins (wag), Yellow, Yellow wag, blue, green, silver, white, orange, and many have the mickey mouse shape on their tail.
Mollies tend to have babies, and not eat them, where as platies eat the babies with every chance they get.
Mollies are much more active and energetic, they are ferocious eaters, where as platies are a much calmer fish, and are a little more passive in eating.
