I had kept my 55g tank around 75 degrees. 2 days ago I bumped it up to 77 and then this morning to 79. Tonight I added a small filter similar to a powerhead that moves about 58g/hr. I have a huge Emperor double spillover on one side and I had noticed that debris and dead plants would gather around rocks on the other side thus the reason to add a small water mover on the other side. Since adding the moving water and boosted temps my mollies are all over that thing. I have two males(one sailfin) and 5 females and that sailfin is chasing the ladies all over the place! I know boosted temps will trigger spawning, but did the added water movement contribute?
