Actually, Mollies are brackish and freshwater, so both comments are correct.
It just depends on what species you are talking about, is what matters.
There are species that thrive in a low ph rain forest type river systems while there are those that thrive next to the ocean and swims between the two.

I highly recommend this reading but to be honest, judgemax is correct. If you own mollies the odds are those are freshwater fish. Only wild mollies would need any salt. jim.

That's what I said. The only thing I got wrong was that they are fresh and brackish in the wild.
