I have a 3in yellow male Molly who has been swimming with his tail down, almost vertical. I just found him and a red wag Swordtail laying on the bottom of the tank together. Still alive, I moved them to their own tank. Pics in a sec. WTF can I do???

Tons of plants in there, 0.0.5, no new fish.
they have been acting funny for the longest time. molly has weird white on his tail and now a faint gray lining his tail, he has been partially vertical for weeks.

for weeks... how long have you had them? Are they all from the same source? Have you tested the other parameters of the tank? From your description, I would have suggested fin rot but from the pic, the white on his tail is concerning (I know you know that). Have you added any salt to the tank? What else is in there?

Molly is dead. the white isnt there when the fish is out of the water.
swordtail is ok
tank been up for 3 months or so.these two been weird since I got them.
added salt a week ago, but not much since i have platy in the tank
all other fish are fine.

In between being picked up for the pics. He swims a tiny bit, then sinks not breathing or moving.

Molly swam with his bottom always lower than the rest of him and breathed faster than other mollies do. The white and black is new. Swordtail hides and is shy, small guy, always has been so he hung out with the Molly because they were both lazy/calm. He kept jumping out of the qt tank, had to put him back with the other fish, he seems happy about that, but of course, hiding. His tail is starting to lower like his friend's did.

KH/GH readings would be useful. This looks like a bacterial infection to me and I suggest you treat accordingly.

what am I treating? A dead fish?
How/with what do I treat the swordtail?
I don't have tests for those, so I cant/wont be giving those readings.

The swordtail seems to be doing well, I see him actually swimming around. I used to never see him like I do the others. He isn't all peppy when I walk by like the others, but he isn't MIA 24/7. Red fish seem to get sick easily...or is that just in my tank? Another red wag showed clamped fins, one of the older fry. How do you fix that, it's the only thing it's doing that is off? My heater is failing, it's on max and the temp of the water is in the 60s. New heater should be here on the 3rd, even though it's been sitting in the state next door for days and easily could of been here sooner. I hate when they do that.
