Molting and death

they may of been stressed if not enough hiding spots to molt, and were being bothered by the other fish.

I have large driftwood they can hide under, lots of thick plants where they hang out but only one rock. Do I need more rock for them to hide in?

if there is ample hiding for them i wouldnt of thort so. i would look more into them feeding properly then, as it takes alot out of them to molt and may just weaken to much to recover.

Okay - so I am feeding them Rotifers which is for fry and filter feeders approximately 2 to 3 times a week. I also see them fanning when they aren't being fed. The one I ahve left is not fanning even though I fed it today I think it is also getting ready to molt. The second one died today. Should I also try the iodine that was mentioned if this one survives? if that helps, then I would get them again. I like having them, but not if they are going to keep dying.

to be quite honest i cant say what food supliments to add as i havnt tried or needed any or the iodeen as mine are in a well astablished tank with lots or plants and a few good currents in there to keep them more than happy and there alwas plump and have molted fine. i just add my normal fish flakes twice daily, with a few alge tabs for my pleco.

i have a 2foot inlet hose with about 15 holes in pointing at a 45 degree angle down onto some rocks were 1 of mine hangs out. i also have a large foot long air stone which gives plenty of current and surface movement were the other 1 hangs out.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably purchase it - but will it harm my freshwater fish?? If not then I will get it since I am changing my FOWLR tank to a reef one.
