Anyone had any success or bad luck w/ eel grasses, or caulerpa with monos? My silver scat passed on, so I'm considering buying some eel grasses or some caulerpa.

Never kept any of the aforementioned with my M. sebae's but they do live with Amazon Swords (actually thriving in brackish), Java Fern among some others (they are still babies and will get moved to Marine within the next few months). I do have a Mono argenteus at my parents house that is in a 120g saltwater Fish Only With Live Rock tank that has lots of Caulerpa in it and he never bothers it so you should be fine! Good luck!
That's what I wanted to hear...mine eat up romaine lettuce but I've seen them with corals and caulerpa before. I just didn't want to invest on a pricey light for my 135g before I found out if they eat caulerpa.
neither my sebaes or argentine monos bother my java ferns but my F8P makes it look like swiss cheese.
