Monosolenium tenerum (pellia)

Wow! I am dreaming. Where can one orders this plant? How about the shower scrubby - I mean a fishing net.

Well I don't know where you can get it in your part of the world. A shower scrubby or scrunchy looks like this

Que, are you using co2 to get that kind of growth? Care to share your lighting stats? It's really looking awesome!

I have under 2 watts per gallon in that 55. I don't use CO2 in any of my tanks.

PS I'll make another post showing the whole process, step by step, of creating these. It's not hard to do and the results are very rewarding

I got some pictures together on how to mesh the Mono onto a rock.

You will need some mesh (shower scrunchy) a needle and thread, styrofoam board, tooth picks, scissors, a rock and enough of the plant to cover 3/4 of the rock.

Stretch a piece of mesh over the rock so it looks like this. Cut it 1/2 in wider and longer to make up for going over the edges of the rock.

Stretch the mesh out onto the foam and tooth pick it in place. Take some short pieces of toothpicks to hold the rock up off the mesh and foam about 1/4 inch. Run some thread through the mesh on both ends so these can be pulled tight later.

Spread the plant out all over the net... this was not enough.

Put the rock on top

Bring one side over and toothpick it in place.

Then the other side

Tie the ends.

Sew up the middle

Place in the tank and wait till it grows in.
