The fish is probably closer to 3 1/2" - 4". Look at the thickness of the glass in the first pic. (likely 1/4" thick, 3/8" at the most)
 
Here is a comparison between my albino bushynose juvie ~1" and the l\/lonster bushynose. Who I am estimating @ 1foot long.

little guy looks to be 2 inches, other guy looks to be 5 maybe 6 inches. tank i would say is about 20 gallons.
 
The picture clearly showed bristles. It's obviously a BN. It's the size that's in question.

The pictures don't really offer any good reference for size, but I did have a 6" BN once, and I could swear he never stopped growing. Unfortunately, he met an untimely demise, so I'll never know if he was done or not.

Let me ask this. Are you measuring from nose to the tip of the tail? Or just nose to the end of the body/beginning of the tail?
