what is the difference between moon lighting and led lighting. Which is better?

Moon lights really are LED lights ... so no difference there

yeah the moonlighting i have seen seems to be all LED.
Although i have seen DIY moonlighting using cold cathode pc lights.

As said above moonlights are LED's... but LED lighting sytems are meant for your whole tank, not jsut at night. FYI, LED lighting systems provide the most light output per watt that you can get and the ones I've looked at you can cange the colour temperture with a computer that's built into the light. Only drawback is your going to get into 4 figures for even a small fixture.
