Does anyone have Mopani wood with their clown plecs? Is it soft enough to eat??? I'm prepared to get some softer stuff at the store. I don't want to starve them.

I think that would be best if that's their only source of driftwood.

They'll enjoy eating the mopani, but a variety of woods is also good. Also, they do occasionally enjoy a shrimp pellet, or fresh veggie.

They ignored my zucchini and I don't notice them near the shrimp pellets. I see them on the wood, gravel and glass. I'm going to try the sweet potato thing this weekend. :headbang2:

I need to feed mine more sweet potato..It's so complicated to remember to cook some up and then bring it with me when I drive out to the parents.

Mine, who I've had for over 5 years, never has made a dent in my mopani. Other woods get shredded. I'd suggest having a softer wood in there as well.

I got the sweet potato. Should I slice it and throw a slice on a clip?? Should I nuke it first? :help:

Wash it and slice it. You don't really have to nuke it first, it'll fall apart faster in your tank. Also, don't leave it in there for more than a few hours after lights out, potato of any kind tends to cloud your water.

I fed mine cooked sweet potato, just like you'd prepare it for a person.
