So it wasnt bad enough my stand was broke when I received it, a heater shipped broke, and a bag of reef crystals was open and spilled all over when I took it out of the peanuts....now after a long day in school I come home to find a new package with my R/O 75gpd unit I bought. Nice, I can get something going in the forward direction....NOT. The cheap *** plastic faucet adapter must of stripped so as the DI began to trickle and I turned the pressure up a little it popped off, now it wont go back on. Of course Lowes and HD are closed 10 minutes after this happens, so my unit is sitting there with water in it now.:mad2:

Am I meant to have a reef tank???? Or are all these signs telling me somthing!:wall:

Poor thing. That sounds like a horrible start. I can't blame you for getting discouraged. Hopefully things get better. Maybe the shipping companies have something against you?

Maybe its a sign that you should avoid shipping? Or try used? All the stuff I have bought used has turned out very nicely.

Sorry about your luck, things will get better. Leaks are sometimes part of the hobby too, I know it was a faulty part on a new unit :angryfire:. Is there enough threads on the end of your faucet, I know a couple of mine, there is barely any threads at all to attach something like that to it, that will cause the same thing to happen, never really getting a good bite. If there is sufficient threads on the faucet end, you can try wrapping the end with a lot of teflon tape, to sort of make up the tight fit, it would only be a band-aid, but it may work. Good luck, I hope things turn around for you soon.

Buy your salt by the bucket next time, you'll use it up faster than you think & they don't break!
