Hey everyone, since I'm getting my new 60 gallon tank this weekend, I'm wanting to add 3-4 more Cory Cats. Right now, I have 3 Schwartzi and 5 Peppers. I was wanting to get 3 or 4 Bronze Corys, but should I get more Schwartzi and Pepper instead? Both of my peppers and schwartzi school together all of the time, so I figured different ones would school too, and I would have a nice mix of them. This will put me at a total of 11 or 12 Cory Cats. I also plan to have 3-4 either Clown Loaches (for a short time), or Angelicus, YoYo, or Zebras, depending on price and availability. Will this be too crowded? Thanks!

Definitely increase the school sizes, rather than add another small school. Cories are happier when they have lots of friends!

then more schwartzi's and peppers it is..........they all school together actually. I just love them so much! Cant wait to get them in the 55g!

Don't add any clown loaches until you get a tank big enough for them once they grow out of the 55 (which they will do fast) Getting clown loaches for that 55 is a bad idea.

Yes, they also like to be in schools which can be difficult due to their size.

As to cory mixing, should be fine, let us know how it goes. On a side note, make sure not to add to many cories at once, even to an established tank. It might throw some things off a bit, so make sure to measure the water a lot during the addition period.

Good luck!
