Pic of the tank in my sig. Any recommendations on what else could go into the tank? No real plants plz, not quite there yet . I'm thinking either more plastic plants behind the center castle or a treasure chest/scuba guy thing. Yeah, the tank is far from being natural, I know.
looking good! Suggestions, mix up your dector a little...it seems to straight lined. Maybe the extra plant suggestion will help this.. Try to keep your heater level, and tidy up that cable, maybe some cups will help out. I personally like to have my temp guage in the back corner of the tank so I have a better view from the front.
Wicked job so far though, like your detailed aquarium log too!
It looks like your background is coming off on the right side... maybe spray some pam on it and squeegee out the bubbles and tape it on the corners, this makes it look a lot brighter. the excess oil can be removed with a rag sprayed with glass cleaner. Be careful not to get any into the tank.
Looks good though. I second(third?) the idea of plants with different heights. maybe some short grassy ones up front. it looks a lot like a 15 gallon I used to have. great minds decorate aquariums alike!
You could add a nice piece of wood to the tank.
As for the plants. Try the newer silk style plants. They look (IMO) allot nicer than the plastic ones. Almost real.
One other thing that I have found looks great on my smaller tanks is a mirror as the background. It makes the tank look deeper and the fish (at least mine do) tend to react to their refelections. As a plus from a distance it looks like you have a fuller tank.
