50 years ago your position would have made a lot of sense. At this point the species in question are firmly established. If FL wanted to ban the introduction of additional species of exotics that would make sense, but penalizing a citizen for keeping what might as well be a native species makes no sense given the current situation.I understand that banning these animals now is a bit of a moot point considering they pretty much already have a foot hold but to be honest I can't say I am against this, again I own a 10 foot boa. As I see it right now they are concerned more with the extreme south, they aren't concerned about my hillbilly self in the foot hills of Va. I am however of the opinion these days that in matters such as these putting the needs of the many in front of the wants of the few is reasonable.
