Moss balls?

Idk but as far as Iv read they are the same moss, probably not imported but im sure they came from imported moss somewhere down the timeline and have been grown here in the US or elsewhere since they are so easy to grow... they feel really cool and shrimp love to hang out on them lol deffinitly cant get inside tho

Interesting . . . . . Wonder what they are referring to when they say "Domestic Marimo balls"?
remember kryryah? she mentioned something some time back about some growing in the states in a lake IIRC. i think after that i looked it up and found that there was some growing in the wild somewhere in michigan. it might have been minnesota, idk...

anway... for a good read on the subject, you might download this pdf... http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...WmYhFIMgQ&sig2=t4-avY8aM3rl35cRgBEK_w&cad=rja

on page 192 (it starts on PP 187) you'll find the beginning of the distribution maps.
