How do I start growing moss on my driftwood? I think it looks neat and really would like to start growing some. I have other live plants in there so I know things grow :silly:

like java moss or japanese moss balls, long and stringy or like the kind you see under trees, exept in water

java moss

that crazy stuff :P

java moss... you don't need to secure it to anything... if you want, use fishing like as mentioned

I use a super stretchy thread that you can get at a nice bait&tackle shop called spider thread. You can also grow the moss in a super humid enviroment to get it to root to wood faster

moss(java) is easy.
if you want it on wood.. tie it with either thread or fishing line.

you'll find members here that will give it away if you pay shipping(usually around $6)
I usually do but currently have a waiting list for moss ;)

I believe the moss in that pic is willow moss. Java moss doesn't usually grow as thick or as upright as that.
