I grow 4-5 variety of moss in my tanks and this one have been forgotten. I'm positive this is not Peacock, not Christmas as some would often mixed the two variety.

I look up on aquamoss, net and closest I can compare is Green socks moss.

Maybe Java moss?

I think I got this as Taiwan moss but let me confirm this ID with moss lovers.

These are the best photos I can get from a smart phone.

looks like java moss.

Looks like Java Moss that's been under higher light. Mine changed to less stringy and more like this when I increased lighting in my tank. The difference in form is significant.

I bought this as Taiwan moss but when I got them grown it looks like Java moss to me.
I was also wondering if it was mixed with some Taiwan and Java moss.

I think I just got Taiwan moss as a bonus in my order from Darkwater It's got bigger "leaves" than Java moss for sure. I can try to snap a side by side photo for you... I have both in the same tank.

As promised, (though I definitely forgot) here are Taiwan Moss and Java Moss in high light. They are definitely similar looking. Taiwan is leafy looking in comparison to Java and more symmetrical in shape when it branches out in high light. Java moss is stringy in comparison... Even in high light, but it does sorta branch out and curve upward like a cedar tree when in this situation. Interesting

1. Java Moss (side)
2. Taiwan Moss (side)
3. Taiwan Moss (birdseye)
4. Java Moss (birdseye)
