Moss Wall.

What kind of moss would look nice?

the softer stuff is easier to use.. eggcrate would be a nightmare...

Yeah, I'm sure you're right. I was just thinking if you could smush an even layer behind the eggcrate it might grow out and around to cover everything.

After viewing the examples I think I would definitely try the soft mesh approach first.

Thanks for the links, I may have to do this for one or two sides of my tanks. How do folks do this on the back of tanks with heaters, filters, CO2, etc?

I guess it depends on the look you're going for. These are pics of my java moss:

As you can see, it tends to grow up towards the light. It works for me.:dance2: The pics are pretty bad though. The plants aren't that yellowy. Hehe. Oh well...

pulling the moss through the plastic canvas has worked really well for me, but after checking those links, I think I'm going to redo mine with suction cups...

Very cool, and I love your foreground "carpet". How long has it taken for your moss wall to get to this point?

Very cool Sammie7, it's coming along swimmingly!

So it looks like you used 2 different screens, for the back and front. What did you use for each and where did you get them? I saw some plastic bird/critter netting (to keep them off gardens) at the store yesterday that might work, but is grey and looks about the hole size of your outside facing screen.

Thanks for the sweet pics!
